Naturally Active
Naturally Active was originally a three-year pilot project funded by the BIG Lottery Chances4Change Programme in 2008.
In early 2012, following the success of Phase 1, Naturally Active Phase 2 was given a year of additional funding by the BIG Lottery. The project covers the areas of Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks and Bexley and is able to support groups and organisations to access the surrounding countryside through a variety of outdoor activities such as improving a green space, wildlife photography and outdoor sports.
Naturally Active aims to help improve mental wellbeing issues such as depression, social isolation and self esteem as well as the obvious physical benefits gained through being active. The success of the project will be measured on the long term sustainability of groups and their activities and as such the project aims to support groups in forming links to other organisations and providing training in green-skills, personal development and project leadership.
If you or your group would be interested in the services that Naturally Active are able to offer please contact Jenny (Project Co-ordinator) on: 01322 294727
