Age Concern

Helped by the NWKCP volunteers Naturally Active visited the Age Concern day centre on Tree Estate, Dartford, to help improve their rose garden which had become overgrown and dangerous for the clients to use. Roses were transplanted towards the back of the flower beds and native and sensory plants such as Lavendar and herbs were planted in their place. The clients at the Meadowside centre are now able to enjoy the garden without the risk of getting caught on the rose bushes!

                                              Peppercorns

Naturally Active ran 2 sessions with clients from the DGSMYourChoice Peppercorns centre. As part of their healthy lifestyles students took part in a photographic walk aroud Dartford park and were asked to capture the what they liked best along the way. For the second session they worked with Community Chef Meryl O'Shea to create a healthy picnic which was then enjoyed in the park following a short walk.

River Dipping at Foots Cray Meadows

Naturally Active joined forces with NWKCP staff and the Healthy Living Centre Dartford to provide Summer Taster Sessions. One of which was a river dipping session on a glorious day at Foots Cray Meadows. Those taking part put on their wellies and took to the river to discover a variety of species thriving in the river
